Local Heroes
The regional BSH[1] brands embodied the successful concept of the company – cutting-edge technology developed for the needs of customers locally. Regional brands were part of BSH's history from the very beginning. The company's local brands also included Constructa, which became famous for producing Germany's first fully automatic washing machine. Constructa was already part of Siemens when BSH was established, and is today the epitome of high performance and reliability. Modern technology combined with tradition in the claim "Simply well made".

The success story of the Local Hero brands outside of Germany started with the Greek company Pitsos A.E. BSH acquired a majority share in the market leader for cooling appliances in Greece in 1976.[2] BSH continued to expand its presence in Europe in the 1980s, acquiring the Balay and Safel brands in Spain in 1988/1989.[3] 1980er Jahren
In den 1990er Jahren expandiert die BSH parallel auf den amerikanischen Kontinent. Die peruanische Marke Coldex bietet seit mehr als 50 Jahren Qualität und Tradition, die die lokalen Bedürfnisse der Kunden am besten ansprechen. Außerdem verkörpert die Marke Thermador die Werte der US-amerikanischen Kultur und steht seit 1998 für Innovation, Leistung und zeitloses Design.
Auch der spanische Kleingeräte Hersteller Ufesa ist eine optimale Ergänzung für das Unternehmen. 1998 wird die Marke von der BSH übernommen – gleichzeitig ein Startschuss für den Ausbau des Consumer Products-Bereichs der BSH. Nach zwanzig Jahren unter dem Dach der BSH wird die Marke UFESA 2018 wieder verkauft.

Since the sale of the Siemens shares in BSH to Robert Bosch GmbH the company’s name is now BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, but still BSH for short.
