In the first few years of BSH[1], its administration in Munich was spread out over several sites. Due to lack of space and the long distances between them, these were then brought together in 1978 at Hochstrasse 17 on the Munich Nockherberg, a part of the city steeped in tradition.[2]

BSH moved into its modern headquarters to the Neuperlach district of Munich in 2003, from where the company's global business has been managed ever since. Today, around 2,220 employees work here. The new company headquarters at Carl-Wery-Strasse 34 was the first building complex in Europe to be designed in line with the concept of Feng Shui, with the glass-covered corridors uniting the sections of the building harmoniously. "We now have a headquarters that is worthy of the world's third-largest home appliance manufacturer," said Chairman of the Board of Management Dr. Kurt-Ludwig Gutberlet in the inauguration speech.[3] In addition to offices, the headquarters also includes a cafeteria and a canteen. Thanks to its economic structure, Munich offers ideal conditions for the further development of BSH.

  1. BSH was founded in 1967 as Bosch-Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH - BSHG for short. In 1998, the name was changed to BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH, with the short form BSH. Since the sale of the Siemens shares in BSH to Robert Bosch GmbH the company’s name is now BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, but still BSH for short.
