Peru 1996: The acquisition of Coldex S.A. proved promising. On the look-out for a successor solution, the previous owner approached BSHG with an offer of a 60 percent shareholding. The factory based in Lima manufactured refrigerators and gas cookers and was already being supplied for many years by BSHG Continental with components for gas cooker production. BSHG acquired a 100 percent stake in Coldex S.A. in 1996.
